Question 1

How long does onboarding take?

Accepted Answer

Onboarding takes 2 to 3 weeks. Your first full monthly close is delivered within 30 days of signing.

Question 2

What do I need to get started?

Accepted Answer

Access to your accounting software or bank feeds is all we need. If you do not have software yet, we set it up for you. The initial setup takes about 10 minutes on your end.

Question 3

Do I need accounting software already?

Accepted Answer

No. If you do not have software, we help you choose and configure the right platform. We set up your chart of accounts, connect your bank feeds, and get you started with clean books from day one.

Question 4

Do I have to sign a long-term contract?

Accepted Answer

No. All plans are month-to-month. You can cancel with 30 days notice. Our retention comes from excellent service, not from locking you in.

Question 5

When will I receive my monthly financials?

Accepted Answer

Every month. No exceptions.

Question 6

Will I have a dedicated bookkeeper?

Accepted Answer

Yes. You work with the same named bookkeeper every month. They learn your business, your vendors, and your patterns over time.

Question 7

How much time does this take on my end?

Accepted Answer

About 15 minutes per month to review your financials and respond to any questions from your bookkeeper.

Question 8

What quality controls are in place?

Accepted Answer

Every transaction goes through two layers of review: intelligent automation processing followed by expert human review. No transaction reaches your books unchecked.

Question 9

What accounting software do you support?

Accepted Answer

QuickBooks Online, Xero, Sage, and Advanced Excel. We work inside the platform you already use. No forced migrations.

Question 10

Do I own my data?

Accepted Answer

Always. We operate on open platforms only. Your data is yours. If you ever leave, you take everything with you.

Question 11

How do you handle my financial data?

Accepted Answer

We sign an NDA with every client. Only your assigned team can access your books. We share files through your accounting software and agreed sharing tools. Ask us anytime how we handle your data.

Question 12

What if I already have accounting software?

Accepted Answer

Great. We work inside it. Think of your accounting software as the kitchen. ZeroStressBooks is the chef. The kitchen does not cook dinner on its own.

Question 13

How is pricing determined?

Accepted Answer

Pricing is based on transaction volume and the plan tier. We scope your business on a free discovery call and deliver a custom proposal within 24 hours.

Question 14

What does "per entity" mean?

Accepted Answer

Each plan covers one legal entity (LLC, Inc, S-Corp, or Sole Proprietorship). If you operate multiple entities, contact us for a multi-entity engagement.

Question 15

Are there hidden fees?

Accepted Answer

No. Pricing is transparent. Add-on services like historical catch-up or sales tax filing are scoped separately and quoted upfront.

Question 16

Do you offer a free trial?

Accepted Answer

We offer a free 20-minute discovery call to learn about your business and recommend the right plan. There is no free trial period, but there is no long-term commitment either.
